Matt White started playing the guitar at the age of 8 and went on to study at the Royal College Of Music with Charles Ramirez, Carlos Bonell and Gary Ryan, graduating in 2005. He has participated in masterclasses with John Williams, Ricardo Iznaola, Bill Kanengiser and Craig Ogden among others.
He has worked with the multi Grammy Award winning producer Markus Dravs and has recorded Dowland and Scarlatti for an EMI television, radio and film library project.
Matt is a passionate teacher and is visiting tutor of guitar at Hill House International School in Knightsbridge, at City of London School for Girls and at Charterhouse.
His recital programmes are varied and include music from the renaissance to the twenty first century. He has performed in London’s Bolivar Hall and across Europe as a soloist (concerts in the UK, Norway, Switzerland and Italy). In 2019, Matt played the guitar solo for Oliver Knussen’s work for double chamber orchestra, ‘Music For A Puppet Court’.
